Preparation and Cooking Time: 60 min.
Ingredients:
½ cup Tamarind Seedless ½ cup Dates Seedless ⅛ cup Jaggery Grated 2 cups Water. ½ tsp Coriander-Cumin Powder (Dhana Jeera) ½ tsp Red Chilli powder Salt to taste
Method:
Clean and wash the tamarind, add it to a pan with the dates and water.
Bring it to a boil before adding the jaggery. Then, simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Cool slightly and mash with a potato masher, then strain the mixture using a strainer.
Keep the mixture thick so you can add water when needed. Add the coriander-cumin powder, chilli powder and salt.
Enjoy with your favourite snacks!
NB: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerated. Will last for 3-4 weeks in the fridge.
