Preparation Time: 10 min. Cooking Time: 20 min. Serves 4
Ingredients:
750 grams Fresh Green Peas in Pods
2 Big Carrots
4 Potatoes Small Size
1½ tbsp Ginger Paste
1½ tbsp Green Chilli Paste
3 tbsp Oil
1½ tsp Ajwain Seeds (Ajmo)
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
⅛ tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
Method:
Cut the stems off the pea pods, wash and set aside. Peel the carrots and potatoes, cut them about 1½ inches long and the potatoes in quarters, and wash them.
Add the ajwain seeds to the oil in a pressure cooker; once hot, add the cumin seeds, ginger, chilli paste, and sauté for a minute.
Add the pea pods, carrots, potatoes, turmeric and salt with 3 tbsp of water, mix well, and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
Enjoy hot with paratha.
